The Domino State - Uneasy Lies The Crown - 2010

With their combination of bold, anthemic songwriting and intoxicating wall-of-sound guitar backdrops, The Domino State have an epic, effects laden sound that has as much in common with the energy of post-punk as the current UK shoegaze scene.

The dynamic intensity of their live performances has earned them numerous prestigious support slots including the O2 Arena with Coldplay and tours with M83 and Longview, taking in shows in London, Brighton, Manchester, Dublin, Belfast, Glasgow, Hamburg and Berlin.

The band's third single "Firefly" (popfiction records) was released in July this year and was picked up instantly by iTunes and placed on their "what's hot" compilation featuring their pick of the latest UK releases. It was also that week's "hottest download" in The Sunday Times, who described the single as "epic, doom-laden stuff from this fine London band".

They have received worldwide airplay, including the UK (BBC, XFM , NME Radio, Kerrang Radio, BFBS Radio), Germany (Motor FM, Radio Fritz, NDR Radio), USA (Britsound Radio - named as Britsound's "Most Likely To Succeed in 2009"), Italy (Radio Città Aperta), Peru (Kool Rock Radio), and have been Steve Lamacq's BBC6 rebel playlist winners.
